Letv 1s pre-rooted EUI 5.5 010S custom ROM with TWRP

If you have read our review of this great china flagman, then you should already know that Letv 1s comes with some major bugs. Great news is that those bugs come from software, so they can be fixed by flashing custom ROM.
You should not forget, that any custom ROM might also have some bugs, that’s why you should carefully read change log and look for other users feedback before flashing it on your device.

Today we’d like to introduce one of best custom ROM we have seen yet. It’s based on Lollipop 5.0.2 and upgraded with some Marshmallow features. 5.5 010S comes with Aroma installer which enables you to check what features should be included and how this ROM should look.

• TWRP recovery included

This tutorial is only compatible with Letv 1s (x500) devices. Do not try it on any other Letv model.

1. Using PC download iRoot tool, extract and install it.
2. Launch iRoot tool and connect Letv to PC via USB cable.
3. Grant USB Debugging if it pops-up.
4. Click Root button on iRoot tool.
5. Sit back and relax till the whole automated process will be finished.
6. Once your device reboot, you’ll have root and TWRP recovery installed.
7. Now TWRP might be in China language. So let’s change it to the English.
8. On device install TWRP Theme Manager app.
9. Launch it and open menu by sliding that small button on top left of the screen.
10. Tap on Online Themes and choose the theme you like.
11. Confirm it to get the theme installed and exit the app.
12. Using device download 5.5.010S custom ROM in zip file.
13. Move file in to internal storage root directory.
14. Reboot Letv in to TWRP recovery: turn off the device, then press and hold Volume Up and Power button at the same time until device screen turns on. After that release Power button and keep holding Volume Up button until you see TWRP logo.
15. Once you get in to TWRP recovery, tap on Wipe and swipe to make a Factory Reset.
16. Then go back and choose Install.
17. Scroll down until you find AROMA_S1_x500-BY_BB72_ML-Based_5.5.010S_r2.zip file.
18. Tap on it and swipe to install.
19. Follow the remaining installation steps by choosing what features you’d like to have.
20. After installation is done, reboot Letv.
