This is the second article where we write about how to play music on your smartphone with the screen off. This time we target the YouTube Vanced project, which has been rated as the best solution in practice over time. From the early days of this project, its goal was to find a way to listen to YouTube music with the screen off.
Usually, in the gym, you still may found some Android users leaving their phones next to the others with the screen on where YouTube music is playing. For these users, I just want to say: Hey! There’s a solution to this for a long time and you can listen to music with the screen off and without drastically wasting your battery charge! You probably won’t believe it, but 2021 is already here.
The Vanced project has become so popular that it has launched its own website from which you can download the YouTube Vanced app and joyfully use it instead of the casual YouTube app. And most importantly, now it doesn’t require any Root.
Quick tutorial:
- Visit the official YouTube Vanced website and download the Vanced Manager app directly to your phone or tablet.
- Once installed, launch Vanced Manager and tap on install microG. Without this plugin, YouTube Vanced will not work.
- After installing microG, choose to install the Vanced app.
- The YouTube Vanced application will appear on your home screen.
That’s all! Launch a new app and enjoy all the music available on YouTube that you can now listen to even when your screen is locked.
