does it work on android 6.0.1 ?
Hello oscar,
On some devices it works, on some it doesn’t.
Hi, do you know any tom tom version that works in version 6.0.1?
I just installed the maps+speed cams version and it crashes when trying to be opened with ‘Unfortunately, Europe has stopped. OK’
Hello Michael,
We’ll try to get free TomTom for Marshmallow 6.0 till the end of this year. However, it still works on some devices running 6.0 and 6.0.1. But we haven’t managed to figure out what makes TomTom run or not to run on different devices..
For now, the best option we can offer is to use Sygic GPS, which is bugs free and very stable.
Have you find a Version for marshmallow 6.0? On my Samsung J5 (2016) it doesnt go.
It should work irrespective of OS version. What king of error you get?
Unable to connect TomTom
Dear….

Hello,
Have you checked voice settings? While on the route, you should see lips icon on the screen. Make sure that lips are not muted.

Hello ak,
We are going to update TomTom with the latest maps, speedcams and extra features. Plan is to make it till sunday. I hope that new version will fix your voice guidance issue.
thanks for that, really looking forward for the update 🙂
Hi,
Tried it on my three year old unrooted Samsung running 4.1.2 and it worked straight off the external Micro SD card!
So there must be an issue with my Head Unit as IGO and Navigon work fine, shame they don’t have house number and full uk postcodes. Navigon has full postcodes but no house numbers and so I will continue with that until I find a solution to the Head Unit with Tomtom. Also tried Copilot, Tomtom, Sygic and Navmii from the play store and they are coming incompatible with your device.
Thanks guys and keep up the good work.
Hi,
Thank for your hard work on this site and I hope you can help please,
I have loaded Tomtom on an Xtrons D766A head unit running 4.4.4. It finds the road and gives you the preview and the route data. However it stops at calculating route and doesn’t run the app. You can go back and enter a different route but the same happens, it doesn’t crash the programme though. I have Igo and Qbanin on the same internal drive and that works, so no issues with the GPS aerial. I would preffer to use TT as it has the full postcode searches for UK. Any help please?
Please do not publish my email on your website. Thanks.
Hello Sam,
Is there any crash report suggested by iGO or you just get error like “App crashed” or something like that? And it crashes only when planing the route is that right?
Hi,
The IGO works ok. The blue loading bar stops at about 90% during start up, but if you press back icon it starts ok. Unfortunately IGO is not a good app for me as a lot of the postcodes are half missing for most of my trips and the maps are very basic. So I would prefer to use Tomtom as it’s much more professional and comprehensive. So my problem is with Tomtom and not IGO. When you enter the postcode, it searches the address and gives the route preview. It just doesn’t go any further and run the route, it just shows a static map of London! There are no error messages and you can enter another route and it will calculate, give you a preview and then not do any more. Just shows the static map of London again. I have downloaded again and reinstalled, but I’m getting the same issue. Please advise. Thanks.
Hi Sam,
That’s a strange issue with TomTom which we haven’t experienced yet. Have you tried running TomTom on any other device? Does your device have Root? Basicaly this app doesn’t require Root privileges but you should give it a try.
Hi,
No my Head Unit isn’t rooted but I forgot to say that on the far top left it says “busy planing route,,,” and in the middle of the screen it says “waiting for a valid GPS signal…”
That’s as far as it goes.
It’s strange that IGO works. I will try Tomtom on my Phone which is on Jelly Bean.
Thanks
Hi,
pls reload this app, because not available at the moment.
thx
Hello,
We checked download link and there’s no issues. File is available.
no longer available
Thanks for the info dan. Link updated.
Enjoy!
After start Unable to connect to Tomtom. message appear and quit. :-((
What is the issue?
Hi privatposta,
Try to install TomTom in flight mode. Main idea is that all connections must be disabled. After installation launch TomTom, then exit the app and turn of flight mode. Then launch the app again.
Thans Admin!
I moved the app to the external SD card, and now it is working.
Do you know the date of the map set?
Maps date: 2014.06.14
At the end of this year we are hoping to receive and update all the maps to 2015.
Is there any way to install it on the external SD card?
I don’t have that much space on my internal memory
Hello Daniel,
I suggest you to try. We have info that for some users it worked even from external SD card.
