AutoBoy is a free personal guardian while you’re on the road. It has all the functionality that you usually can get from the paid applications only. This app is easy to use because of the smart made UI, where all main features is accessible straight from the main screen. And if that’s not enough, users can choose from many great options available in settings menu. For example, you can set continuous background recording only as long as your device battery is charging. Or use photo feature at the same time while video recording is running. AutoBoy even supports recorded videos backup feature where files can be manually or automatically uploaded into users YouTube channel.
Another great thing we found is that you can set which app to launch after the recording button is pressed. For instance, it can execute navigation and music player together when you start recording, so you don’t have to put video capturing in the background and look for other apps to brighten up your journey.

But don’t worry, that’s where auto deletion feature comes handy. It automatically deletes old files and always maintain free memory space for new recordings.

One of the very first app that started recording road videos since 2009. It works as a car blackbox, dash cam or auto DVR, continuously capturing videos and photos during your journeys. The app automatically records everything, but only important events are retained for future reference or as evidence. One-touch video retention allows you to keep video files for interesting road events during the whole journey. You get to choose what to keep, simply by touching the screen, even while you drive. DailyRoads Voyager has user defined storage space on the SD card or internal memory with continuous cyclic recording, which overwrites the old files.
This app also uses device gyroscope sensor to automatically retain video upon sudden shock forced by a car accident.
Users can shoot some photos during the recording and use geo-tagging feature to check current map location where image was captured. In cases if device battery is running low, GPS can be disabled to reduce power consumption.
After video file has been saved, you can add title, description or bookmarks as additional info.
Unlike the app mentioned above, DailyRoads Voyager has its own cloud storage where real-time video can be streamed from the app to media servers. Just to make sure none of your valuable recordings will be lost in case of accident.
It’s a DailyRoads Voyager Pro application that doesn’t contain any ads, but the functionality is almost the same as in free version.

App homescreen looks great, bringing the main features only with a quick access playlist for recorded videos preview.
AutoGuard also supports multitasking with other apps, like user preferred navigation or video player. It can automatically start video recording when smartphone is putted into car dock or connect with Bluetooth devices.
This app records speed, GPS, and street address if built-in Google maps feature are in use. Video recording can be limited to save free space on the phone. After the space is filled it will automatically delete the oldest videos, unless marked as must be saved.
Settings menu has some detailed options as video resolution, recording bit rates, the sensitivity of the accelerator and GPS coordinates update time. This app also supports uploading videos on YouTube or you can send recorded information via email.
